Casio WorldTime — pleased but worried about long-term wear

I purchased a Casio WorldTime recently and, as an experienced online shopper, I am generally satisfied with its reliability and features. That said, I have a small concern about how the resin strap and plastic components will hold up after regular daily use. Has anyone experienced fading of the display or loosening of buttons over several years? I would welcome any practical care tips or signs to look for when buying this model used.
